My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Tito! I am an affectionate, handsome, and playful young pup. I am about a year and a half old, with some puppy energy but a lot of ability to learn and be trained. I'm wonderful with kids and grown-ups and I give lots of kisses. I'm about 28lbs and am microchipped, neutered, and fully vaccinated. I play hard and cuddle up big-time afterward. At night I cuddle up in my crate and feel cozy and safe there, and also go in my crate when my people are out. I'm completely housetrained. I came from Tennessee but am fostered in New York City so you can meet me here.

I've gotten used to both the country and the city life - I walk like a pro on the leash on city streets. I have learned several commands, including sit, stay, touch, leave it, and I learned to walk to heel in two days!

I'm also super relaxed with all other dogs that I meet on the street - no matter how kooky they might be. I've lived happily with another dog, and with cats. I am not much of a barker - pretty quiet, actually. I can be spooked every now and again by a car backfiring or construction, or by people carrying mops or brooms, and that's the main thing that makes me bark.

Some folks think my mix might include rat terrier and feist. The loyal and loving parts of those breeds really describe me well.

I was found in Tennessee when I wandered up to a stranger’s house and a nice lady called the rescue and I started my new life. I would be good in an apartment or in any household - I do need some running around exercise outside everyday. I am very comfy with just a couple of people - and often go to women first - but I love my foster dad, grandpa, and foster human brother so much and am very loyal to my people. I need a little boost in confidence after my time being alone outside, but with each passing week being loved by people I am getting more and more relaxed.

Will you be my forever family? I can’t wait to meet you!
