My story

I've been ADOPTED; I love my new parents and fur sister!

Riley is a very sweet tri-color rat terrier male. This cutie-pie is 1 year old and weighs 12 lbs. Riley absolutely lives for the love and affection he did not receive prior to foster care. He keeps his foster mother in view and ventures over to give kisses. Scratch him behind the ears and his expressive eyes seem to say, “This is the best thing in the world”.

Riley sometimes thinks he is a lap dog, snuggling in to help his foster parents type on the computer or snooze while watching TV. He enjoys exploring in the yard, is learning to walk on a leash, and loves riding in the car because it means he can go with Mom and Dad. Riley would love a home with active owners who will take him on walks and play tug-of-war and fetch with him. Another doggie playmate to play-fight with would be just so much fun! Riley likes people, older gentle children, dog, but cats are an unknown.

Riley has learned to use the doggie door to go outside and potty, and only barks if someone new is in the yard or the door bell rings. Riley is vetted (vaccinations including rabies, neutered, micro-chipped, heartworm negative), and taking heartworm and flea preventatives.
