My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in KENT or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here
Please email the completed application to katiev.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.

KENT and his brother Clark are two sweet little woofers who steal hearts everywhere they go. KENT enjoys snuggles, belly rubs, playing with his brother, and afternoon naps. He and his brother were born on September 23, 2019, so they’re still bite-sized pups, eager to learn about the world. These two were lucky enough to stay together with mom for the first few weeks of their lives, reaping the benefits of being a family unit during that crucial developmental period. They are now in individual foster homes with other resident dogs, learning proper doggie manners and etiquette. For a puppy, KENT has become incredibly well house-trained and is a doggie door master. KENT may be young, but he’s taken a liking to Game of Thrones much more than his brother Clark, who sits with his paws over his eyes. KENT is only on season two, so no spoilers, but he’s hooked. If you don’t have an HBO subscription, KENT has plenty of friends with owners who do. If you’d like to snuggle with low rider KENT for the next decade plus, send in an application today! He’s eager to become a part of your family.

KENT and Clark may NOT be adopted together!

KENT is microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
His $490 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the Midwest after he is officially adopted.

Please email the completed application to katiev.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our Nashville, Knoxville and some New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com). We also use Pet Express Tupelo (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com/). For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
