Hello world, My name is Groot. Yep. Groot. I was born in Kennett, Mo. My love life was here and there, mostly there. I finally realized I deserved better when my family sped off at the location I was found and they never came for me.

So, I'm in foster care being amazing. That's what I keep hearing. I'm told I am an old soul in a young pup body and I have growing to do. I'm learning what toys and treats are. They are weird and I don't get it but they show me every day. I LOVE to lay on the couch and snore; right next to you. I am enjoying the sun in the yard knowing I can come inside and be with my people.

I, currently, have a cat and a dog friend. I like kids. I love to be loved. I am so easy and agreeable. I am a fast learner. Foster mom is so excited she crate trained me in 3 days!! I was a really good boy. Kind and gentle are some attributes I know I have to give.

Groot is an old soul in a young pup’s body. He’s not overly excited and crazy, he wants to be outside and be a dog but does require inside hoooman love. Groot would really like to have a doggy friend, it seems to make him the most happy to have a like species to hang with. He’s a very loyal and loving dog that’s eager to please. He loves his humans to be near but he is not a needy, spazzy, hyper type dog. He shows his love like old dogs do. Being present.

Groot would, very much, like a structured home. He does best when there is an alpha but kind person to guide him. He thrives with tasks and direction. He's been known to act up without it. Groot is learning that there are rules and he is more than happy and willing to put his best paw forward.

Groot is up to date with vaccines, microchipped, neutered, heartworm preventative, potty trained crate trained, will be 55# or around there when full grown.
