Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chief (DOB ~6/29/18) is a short-haired black neutered male cat. He was taken into foster care as a newborn found at the Great Lakes Navy Base. He was adopted by a Navy family in October 2018. Chief lived with a small dog and a couple of young kids until early December 2019 when the was relinquished to Spay and Stay because the wife didn't want to him when they moved. He adapted well to foster care at Care Animal Hospital and made great friends with the staff. He spends most of his days with the practice manager 'helping' her with her paperwork. He's very smart; he will check each office door until he finds an open one that will allow him to wander around the clinic area. He is calm, a bit talkative and walks on a leash. He loves canned food and catnip. Basically, he's an adaptable cat that would be a good addition to most any home. He's a large cat, about 12 pounds. Chief recently went for a trial adoption with a family with a 30 lb dog and pre-teen daughter. He's was returned because he wanted to sleep in a bedroom. He got along well with the dog from day one and the pre-teen's friends all though he was great. We are sad for him but know the right home is out there for him. He also comes with his own cat tree.
