My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luna! She is a 7 month old Potcake who traveled all the way from Haiti to RI and is ready for adoption! Luna is very sweet with people and extremely food motivated. She has quite the agility and would do well on an agility course or as a hiking buddy. Luna has grown up in a pack of other pups and therefore is very social with other dogs. She likes to be the boss! Luna is responding very well to training so far and is doing the best out of the bunch with house training.

Haiti is the poorest country on this hemisphere. People survive on an average of $2 a day. The locals don't have much to give but scrape the bottom of their pans to the stray dogs wandering the streets. That's how the island dogs got their name, Potcakes! Potcakes are known to make very smart, loyal, and loving pets. They generally for to be between 40-55 lbs with a lean physique.

The Haiti Street Dog Project is an incredible organization that saves starving, homeless, and injured dogs from certain death with very little resources. The dogs all tend to get along, as they don't have the luxury of privacy and seperate living quarters like we have in the US. The pups are given coconuts as chew toys but mostly play with each other.
