UPDATE--You can now meet Jefferson in person at the Muncie PetSmart. Jefferson is quite the handsome boy! He is very dark orange (red) in color with fancy tabby swirls instead of the traditional striping. His white markings on his chest and feet are quite striking as well. He approximate date of birth was 8/8/08. He has had a rough time finding the right match for him He was adopted in May '09 but was returned at the end of July '09 because his new person had allergies that she was not aware of and could not get under control. He, then, was adopted in Sept '09 but returned in Dec '09 because the other cat in the family was intimidated by him and they did not adjust to each other well. He is a very sweet boy but it takes a little time for him to trust a new situation. He will need a patient family to let him have a few days to get used to everything before he settles in and becomes a loving member of the family. He loves to play but can be a little over zealous sometimes, so we recommend, if his new family has kids, that they be older (perhaps 10 or older) . He loves other cats but can be a bit intimidating, which can turn into bullying if the other cat is very submissive.. Once he settles in, he proves that he can mind his manners and play like a nice boy! He also does well with dogs, even large ones (He had a Rottie buddy at his orignial foster home.) that do well with cats. Jefferson has had a couple of false starts (when he was abandonned as a baby and when his past adoptions did not work out) but he is ready to begin the race again! Are you the winning family!!??
