Beckham and his siblings, Brooklyn and Briggs were rescued as young kittens from the Austin City Pound on 8/30/18 when their time there was up and they were due to be euthanized. Beckham and siblings were born sometime in August, 2018. Beckham is a shy cat who is going to require patience and time in a new home. Beckham has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV, is now neutered and is current on shots/dewormings. He will be adopted as an INDOOR only cat and the adoption fee is $50 for 1 and 2 cats for $75. At the time of the photo session, Beckham was being treated for an eye infection. A pet porter is required at the time of adoption. To meet Beckham or any of our other great cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application. You must be 21 to adopt from the Mower County Humane Society. For dogs, there is an application form that needs to be completed a few days ahead of time, before we are able to release an animal. We review applications to make sure there is a compatible fit between adoptive home and the characteristics of the animal. Adoption fees for dogs range from $95 to $150

Regular animal viewing hours are at the Shelter on Tuesdays from 4:30PM to 6PM, and Sundays from 2PM to 4PM. Other days/times can be arranaged by appointment.

The Mower County Humane Society is run entirely volunteers. The group strives to take in homeless and stray dogs and cats and place them into responsible, lifelong homes.
NOTE: The Shelter address does not register correctly on Google maps. Our Shelter is east of the Charter cable office in Austin MN. This is off of Hwy 218 south - our shelter is east of the highway just off the eastern tip of Oakland Avenue. The official address is 101 22nd Street SE
