Sissy is full of personality and a hoot to be around. She came from a feral colony and we consider her Special Needs. Sissy tested positive for FIV antibodies via the customary snap test given to all our kitties. This test does not test for the actual virus, just antibodies. That said, FIV kittes who are well behaved are fine to adopt into a home with other pets. FIV is transmitted by a deep puncture bite. So what we know about Sissy is she has been exposed to the virus (thus the positive for antibodies).

Sissy and her other colony mates that we rescued have occasional congestion flare ups. The vet thinks herpes related. Lysine in her food has helped.
