My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please consider sponsoring a cat for a little as $10 a month you can help us help more animals in need.

Amber is a  rare orange tabby female . She was rescued as a kitten from a colony of cats in the Pine forest area. Amber  has gorgeous deep round pools of amber for eyes that seem to stare into your soul and instinctively determine if you are worthy of her affection or not. When she likes you, she is quite the purr box and churtles when petted or brushed. Amber is quite playful with other kitties and by herself, but also likes her "space" sometimes. She  would do best in a quiet home where she is the queen of the castle or perhaps with one other companion kitty to play with.  Amber’s hobbies include playing tag, bug chasing, birdwatching, and reading or napping while you read.

Our adoption fees are $75.00 for any kitty 6 months of age or older. $85 for kittens under 6 months of age. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, FeLV test, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online  Cat Adoption Application  on our website  aaFlorida.org .  There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register.  For more information about this kitty or any others, you can contact us at  Adoptions@aaFlorida.org  or 850-780-3223.  We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any cat.  Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our fabulous felines.

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer organization saving lives in the Florida Panhandle through adoption, spay/neuter and TNR of community cats.

We are always in need of foster homes and volunteers. If you find a kitty or dog and are willing to foster it - we can help you find it a furever home. Can't foster or adopt right now, help socialize kittens. The more people the kittens are exposed to the better is for them. We can always use volunteers. Work from home, work directly with animals, or work non-directly with animals helping us raise money or distributing fliers.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE spay or neuter your pets! Escambia County pound puts down over 1,000 animals a month! Through spay/neuter we can reduce that number.
