Cookie Needs Love!
Cookie was my daughter’s dog until she went off to college, at which point my parents took him. He grew up around 2 other dogs and a cat and got tons of snuggles from my daughter when he was young.
Eventually, my parents wound up taking in my sisters’s dog - though the cat died. Still, 4 dogs is a lot. As a result, Cookie has been re-homed 4 times, between family members, and I’ve taken him in twice.
He’s generally a good dog, loves snuggles and to be near people - true to form for a shih tzu. But I can no longer afford to keep him (between the costs of grooming, food and regular vet visits, nor do I have the time to give him the affection he craves as I’ve just taken a new job - and took in both him and my parents’ dachshund, as well. Two dogs is far too many for me.
He is generally quiet - except when he needs to go outside / come inside or when he wakes to eat in the morning. He’s an early riser - will usually wake me between 7-8am without fail.
