FurKids Midwest has a Senior for Seniors adoption program. It was developed to help senior humans discover or rediscover the joys of having a pet in their lives. The program places senior pets (typically over 8 years of age) with senior citizens who are 60 years of age or older and the adoption fee is waived.

Meet Schmigins!

Hey there! I'm Schmigins and as you may have noticed, I'm a senior cat! I was surrendered because my owner passed away and now I'm looking for a new place to retire.

Don't let the pictures fool you. Despite my age, I'm friendly and love to be petted. I look a little sad but that's just 'cuz I don't have my dentures in. You see, I have a gum disease and I only have 5 teeth. For this reason, I am only able to eat canned food.

I would love a nice, quiet home and a little spot of sunshine to take my cat naps in. Will you give this old gal a happy ending?
