My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Most of us cannot imagine the fear of being engulfed in a fire in our homes.  But these two sweet, trusting young girls experienced it firsthand when their kennel caught fire and burned.  Fortunately, even though they were doused with water from fire hoses by the firefighters desperate to save the lives of the animals in the kennel, they survived and continue to trust and love those people who try to help them.  Although they suffered from smoke inhalation and have had to have five different types of antibiotics, many shots and vaccines, nebulizer treatments, hospital care, and 24 hour home care, they continue to trust and love.  But what is even more unbelievable is that even after their kennel was burned and they suffered such horrible trauma, the owners of the kennel continued to breed them to make a profit from their suffering.  The vet believes they may have permanent damage to their lungs because they were not taken care of right after the fire.  Although they find it hard to breathe when they run too fast, that will not affect the quality or length of their lives, or the fighting spirit they so personify.  These two not only survived their trauma, they unbelievably show no shyness, or fear, or trust issues after all they have been though.  They have survived all this together and as you can imagine have bonded quite closely through it all, so if they could find a home together, it would be a fairy tale ending for these two deserving, gallant dogs.  So if you believe in rewarding the strength and courage these two young ladies have shown by making the best positive life possible after all the negatives life has thrown at them, please contribute what you can to their medical care; but most of all please reward them by giving them a loving, safe, comfortable home in which to live.  Thank you.

(Millie is the light blue collar; Mollie is the red collar)
