My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ask yourself these questions. Do you love cats, but maybe aren’t the biggest fan of their ninja like reflexes and Cirque du Soleil jumping/acrobatic abilities? Do you enjoy unlimited snuggles, purrs, and biscuit making? Do you consider yourself a big-hearted person, willing to open your home and your heart to a pair of special kittos? If you answered a big YES to all those questions, then we have the absolute purrfect kittos for you!

These doll babies are Rosé and Chardonnay! Rosé is the gorgeous orange tabby female, she is a little over a year old and the mother to Chardonnay (aka Char). Char is about ten months old and an absolutely stunning calico female. These gals, along with Rosé’s other three babies who’ve since been adopted, all have a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). Sure, it is a big, scary sounding diagnosis, but it is nothing to be afraid of. Long story short, these kittos’ cerebellums did not fully develop in utero. The cerebellum is responsible for coordination, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills. Basically these babies are rather uncoordinated and wobbly with everything they do. CH cats can be born with different degrees of severity, and they do not get any worse than the level they’re born with; they actually tend to get better as they grow and play, they build up more/better muscle coordination. We’ve had this sweet crew since October, and their mobility has gotten better and better!

Yes they walk around like they’ve had a bit too much to drink, we call them our wobble babies. Rest assured though they are totally healthy besides this, and CH typically does NOT affect their lifespan or health status what so ever. They are completely happy, sweet babies; in their minds they are completely normal, it’s the “normal” cats that are the weird ones to them! People’s reactions when they meet them at first tend to be ones of pity and sadness, until they spend two minutes with them and see just how sweet and happy they are! Two of Char’s siblings were adopted when families came to meet one of our non-wobbly kittens and they fell in love with a CH baby. Seriously to meet them is to love them, and this sweet pair is so ridiculously cute and affectionate. They are purrfect!

You may have questions about care. These gals eat, drink, potty, purr, and play like any other cat. They need a special litter box with a lower entry point and higher sides for them to lean on, we have found that the bottom half of a plastic dog kennel works perfectly; and we would happily send them home with one! The only differences is that they tend to be a tad messier when eating due to head shaking, they need an owner to stay on top of their litterbox cleaning so they don’t accidently fall in their waste and get dirty, and you will never find them running on your kitchen counters or climbing your drapes! They would likely do fine in a home with carpeted steps, but a home were all their stuff can be on one level would definitely be ideal. So nothing too major at all, they are worth the handi-cat accommodations a million times over!

At this point Rosé and Chardonnay have been together their entire lives, and together as a pair for a couple months, as the others have found their purrfect homes. They are so darn sweet together and are very bonded, the thought of separating them breaks my heart. With that being said I would like them to go to a home together, which I imagine will make their home search even tougher… More snuggles for us in the meantime!

Rosé and Chardonnay are foster kittos through Saving GRACE, their adoption fee for BOTH is $80, to help us cover a portion of their vetting. These girls are spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, felv/fiv tested negative, dewormed, and much more. All these ladies need is a chance, believe us you WILL fall in love if you come to meet them. How could you not? They’re gorgeous, sweet, and ridiculously affectionate!
