Meet Scout.
4 years ago, Scout was found roaming the streets; a stray in dire need of someone to give his love to. He was taken in by an elderly lady that welcomed him with open arms and heart... Scout returned the favor 100x's over. He laid next to her and gave her unconditional love and respect as she battled cancer. Two years, and more than 20 surgeries later, Scout stayed true and devoted until her last day.
A few months later, Scout found a new family to take care of. Unfortunately, a month ago, they moved into a new home and Scout has not adjusted to the move. After over a year, they have decided it would be in Scout's best interest to move onto a new environment.
Now at around 6 years old, neutered, crate trained and doggy door trained. Scout has more than enough love and goofiness to bring into a home willing to be just as devoted to him.
Scout has been with other, older dogs and supervised around cats.
He does enjoy "borrowing" socks and shoes when you're not watching him but, he is always willing to give them back.
Scout is a beagle so, a secure fenced yard would be ideal... or a very active family readily available for frequent walks. Car rides are also a favorite of his.
Scout may require an adjustment period, as do many dogs moving into a new home, so, patience will be a must! As well as experience with possibly nervous dogs- it is unclear why Scout has not been able to adjust after his recent move.
