Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to introduce you to Grover, an approximately 2 year old neutered male Terrier Mix. Grover has been vaccinated, microchipped and heart worm tested. Grover loves to sit in your lap and is very cuddly, but is definitely a terrier and needs a person who is familiar with the tenacious terrier personality!
Grover is a great big dog packed in a scruffy little 20 pound package. He loves to go for walks on the leash, he loves watching TV, he loves playing with his toys (although he is still learning how to bring them back) and he loves spending time with his people. He loves his people so much that he doesn't really like to share them with his other doggy friends. Grover is housebroken with a doggy door but still needs to be watched if he is in the house without access to the doggy door. Grover sleeps in a crate at night, but he doesn't like it and would much prefer a dog bed or even in a bed with his owners. Grover LOVES spending time with the children in his home, but we think he would be too much for kids that are not dog savvy.
The ideal home for this dog would be with an experienced dog owner that won't be intimidated when Grover shows his terrier personality. If he thinks that he can get away with something, like guarding a favorite toy, he makes quite a ruckus. If you are nervous, he gets more excited. If you calmly tell him no and reach for the toy he stops. Because of this behavior we are not allowing him to be adopted with young children. He really enjoys spending time with kids, but we think he would be better for visiting kids, not living with them. We also think he would be best as the only dog in the house. He lives with several other dogs of all sizes at the moment and he has no problem hanging out with them but he doesn't like sharing his toys, or his people. If he is sitting in someone's lap and another dog comes up he will tell them off.
Grover is an adorable little guy who is looking for just the right home. His adoption fee is $200 plus $10.99 microchip registration fee. He is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, and heart worm negative.
