My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nebula (named after Nebula from the Guardians Of The Galaxy), a "bad" girl gone good, has been working hard with her trainer to overcome her fears and is finally ready for her forever home!

She is desperate to find her human! Nebula is such a sweet and cuddly girl, she LOVES to nestle and snuggle up with her beloved humans. She is definitely a "velcro" dog! This quality ensures she will be your loyal sidekick, but she does need a leader who will give her just as much discipline as love and cuddles. She will make it near impossible, but she needs an owner who will not spoil her or baby her.

Nebula came to us a bit of a basket case. Because of her fearfulness, she could not sit still or be alone, yet would lunge if approached too quickly or handled. She would bark/lunge at strangers and strange dogs. She would pace around in circles, and nip at other dogs passing by or coming too close. It will be important that Nebula will find a home that is willing to continue her formal training and practice on a regular basis. (please keep in mind, this is true of every dog!) She was terrified of just about anything and everything, so we suspect she had a bit of a traumatic past.

She has been with us since the beginning of February 2020 and has made remarkable progress. She is now able to remain calm and collected around people, stressors, and other dogs. Because of her herding tendencies Nebula would do best in a home where she will be your one and only, however the right home with other dog(s) will be considered as she does warm up to other dogs and makes a great playmate. Homes with cats will only be considered to extremely experienced working breed homes as Nebula's prey drive could make it dangerous, she has been chasing and trying to herd/nip the cats in her foster home.

Nebula has been working her little booty off with her trainer, and has gained confidence as well as developed an extensive list of known commands including 'sit, down, place, stay, heel, come, down, off, no, go potty, free, wait, leave it, drop it, and more'
We have also begun some off leash heeling and recall work, and she has quite a few cute tricks up her sleeve ;)
If you would like to see some of her training videos please visit the IG accounts @woofgangrehab and @shadesofbludogtraining

Nebula is a 30lb German Shepherd mix. Our best guess based on her personality and notably agile body would be that she is mixed with either some type of heeler, cattle dog, or shiba inu.
She is true to her breed, in that she will do best in an active or working dog home. She would love an owner who will take her hiking, to nose work classes, advanced obedience lessons, agility classes, etc.
