My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You want snuggs? Rhiannon has ALL THE SNUGGS. Rhiannon is a sweet 10 month old pup who had been living outside before ASF rescued her. She has taken to indoor living quite well, does not chew on items she is not supposed to and will ask to go outside when she needs to potty (although I am sure patience will be needed as she adapts to her new home). A lower-medium energy girl, she loves to cuddle and be with her human as well as her foster fur-brother. Rhiannon is learning that not all car rides will be taking her to the scary place (vet) and is now always up for an adventure. She is picking up basic obedience commands quite easily, however will need some work on leash manners and appropriate greetings on leash. She is just SO excited to meet every person and every dog she sees, so it is recommended that her future adopter be willing to enroll her in a positive reinforcement obedience class to solidify some of the behaviors she has started working on with her foster mom. As perfect as Rhiannon's foster mom thinks she is, Rhiannon does have a kryptonite, in the form of marrow bones. Although she does not show any guarding behaviors with other food, toys, or treats...she will guard marrow bones from other dogs, so it would be best to avoid them, especially if she is around other dogs. Rhiannon is crate trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. She has not been cat tested but she did spend time around children while on a sleepover at her foster-mom's friends and it was reported that she was very well behaved with kids and is dog and people friendly. She is a gentle soul and would likely be a wonderful family pet. She is 40 lbs and being fostered near Birmingham, Alabama If you think this sweet girl is a match for your family, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application
