My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1. What is your name?

My name is Stanley.

2. How old are you?

I am about 8 years old.

3. What do you look like?

I am a sturdy gentleman with a large build. I am mostly black and white with some distinguished looking brindling on my legs.

4. What do you like to eat?

I’ve been eating a variety of kibble and do well on most any protein. My foster mom did try to feed me raw food one time but my stomach was not having it!

5. What kind of personality do you have?

Please don’t let my age fool you. I’m a guy that still loves to play and growl loud while doing so! A game of gentle tug or a romp around the yard after a ball is just up my alley. I also enjoy walks and could lay in the sun literally all day long! I think car rides are awesome too. Even though I’m kind of a big guy, I’m really a gentle fella so don’t let my size intimidate you. I take treats like a true gentlemen too, nice and easy.

6. Describe your perfect day

It really doesn’t take much to make me happy. My perfect day is breakfast next to you and a nice walk, followed by a long nap in the sun and a belly rub by you at night.

7. What is your favorite toy?

My foster mom bought me an endless supply of toys so its hard to choose just one toy as my fav, but I think I love my large rope tug toy the best! Probably because I just love tugging and letting it all loose and getting loud!

8. Do you know any tricks?

With looks and personality like this, you don’t need many tricks, but I do know how to sit and lay down.

9. What scares you?

I am not really afraid of anything.

10. Do you like cats?

I’m not really sure what I think of those beasts. Curious looking things. I’ve never been around a cat to have an opinion.

11. Do you have any doggie best friends?

I currently live with two other females and a male and get along with all of them. I’m a pretty easy going guy and make friends with most I meet.

12. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Honestly, I’m a simple fella and anywhere you are is where I want to be.

13. How is your health?

According to my veterinarian, I am in great condition for a guy of my stature and experience.

14. How long have you lived in your foster home?

It’s been a couple months since I was rescued and brought into my foster home with Even Chance.

15. Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion?

I share a beautiful home with my foster parents and foster siblings. I have two high school aged people siblings that are at school or with friends most of the time. I also have three dog siblings. All of my foster family is great, but I’m probably closest to my foster mom.

16. Where do you hang out when you are home alone?

I usually hang out in my crate when there aren’t any people home.

17. Where do you sleep?

Sometimes I sleep in my crate, but a lot of times I get to sleep on my foster parent’s bed and it’s AMAZING.

18. What do you love about your foster family?

I love that my foster family is so dedicated to meeting all my needs. I am grateful that Even Chance rescued me!

19. What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into the welcoming arms of your foster parents?

I was wandering the streets and brought into a shelter before my Even Chance began.

Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as they spend time in our homes. Our agency reserves the right to deny acceptance of any dog to an owner who we feel the lifestyle does not match that of the dog. We are in no way judging you or your lifestyle; we simply want to put our dogs in the best living situation possible. We take very seriously the decision we make when it comes to placing one of our dogs in a forever home. If I sound like the perfect pit bull for your and your family and you are interested in giving me a forever home, do not hesitate! Please fill out an application here and my foster family will contact you to schedule an in-person meet and greet. We look forward to meeting any and all interested applicants.
