My story

Ashton is VERY shy around new people. He needs someone strong enough to lead, yet gentle enough to allow Ashton to become familiar with his new surroundings and family. Sorry, but NO children for Ashton, he needs an adult home without a lot of traffic/noise.
Ashton needs to be in an experienced home. This cutie is not for a first-time owner. Applicants must have a good vet reference, solid dog experience, and be an adult-only home. Ashton is fully vetted!

Montclair Township Animal Shelter (MTAS) is a municipal shelter providing animal control services as well as sheltering lost, stray, abandoned and unwanted animals. All animals are cared for by a small team of staff and volunteers, and the animals that are available for adoption are promoted via social media and local events. We work with other rescue organizations to accept and transfer animals, on an individual basis, depending on what is best for the animals. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. In additional MTAS provides TNR services for Montclair & Nutley.
