One of the great things about fostering is that we really get to assess each dog and get to know their needs and behaviors so that we can help find them the most perfect fit home. So many people want to adopt a dog but don’t always know what they are getting. We want to be honest and let our families know the quirks our fosters may have so that it’s not a surprise when they take them home. We want it to be a match made In heaven. So the perfect match for Sadie will need: 1. A fully fenced yard with a 6 foot fence. Sadie is still very nervous and gets easily spooked by loud noises, strangers, etc. She needs a 6 foot fence to keep her safe. Sorry but no exceptions. 2. Sadie will go in a crate but she doesn’t like it. She would rather be with her person. So someone who is home most of the day would be best. 3. Sadie’s new family will need to have Sheppard or similar characteristic breed experience. She is a great girl but still very insecure and anxious -very typical of this breed. So someone with patience and understanding of this breed is a must. 4. Her new home must have a doggy sibling. She finds security in the other dogs in her foster home and they help her learn and continue to build her confidence. 5. You must love having a shadow because once this girl trusts you she will never leave your side! She just wants to be loved and wants to be your loyal companion. She is 4 years old. She does great with kids and women but still very afraid of men. She is potty trained. She will need basic obedience training which will also build her confidence and bond with her new owner. She is an AMAZING dog! Are you her perfect match?
Sadie Hawkins is UTD on vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed, given flea and tick prevention and has been fixed. This furbaby is currently being fostered in Alsip, IL and would love to find a furever home! If you can't adopt, please consider a donation care made directly to the rescue via paypal or contact us at info@rescuewarriorscorp.org. We will do our best to respond to any and all requests and contacts as soon as possible, but we are a 100% volunteer run rescue. It is great because that means we can keep our adoption prices low because we are not paying salaries, but all of our volunteers do have families and "real" jobs in order to support our passion of saving animals from euthanasia often just days or hours before they are scheduled to be put to sleep. That being said, one of us are going to do our best to contact via email or by phone within 48 hours of any inquiry. It is not uncommon that when you have made the decision to add to your family and committing to adopting a rescue dog that you are very excited, we just ask that you be patient with us.
