HELLOOO new family! I am so excited to meet you! I'm gonna have you giggling nonstop because I'm so happy and goofy. I was born without the piece of my brain that helps me balance (*cerebellar hypoplasia), so I wiggle all over the place. Basically I just love to dance funky all the time! I'm probably gonna be famous soon, so you should adopt me before the pup-parazzi finds me and the whole world wants in on this cuteness. And don't worry, I'm not going to get any worse--I just need you to love me as I am: crazy dancer but always happy to see you. Bonus? I'm already kennel & potty trained. Just because I'm goofy doesn't mean I don't know how to behave! Contact Mayday if you'd like to meet me and I promise to show you all my moves!

Ali might be good with older children and would do best in a home without other dogs.

*Cerebellar hypoplasia is a permanent neurological condition that causes permanent balance and coordination issues. Cerebellar hypoplasia causes jerky movements, tremors and generally uncoordinated motion. The animal often falls down and has trouble walking. To manage this condition for your pet, it is vital that you understand your pet's physical limitations. As your pet may have difficulty controlling movement, you may need to assist your pet when eating and drinking. Providing your pet with a safe environment is essential. Due to the imbalance and wide stance, stairs and uneven ground may cause a hazard. A non-slip, flat surface, such as carpeting, is an ideal environment for your pet.*

At Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy, we get to know the traits and personalities of our dogs very well and try to make the best match between dog and pet parent. Pets are for a lifetime. Please be sure to keep this in mind when considering adopting a pet from us.

The following requirements must be met in order to adopt an animal from Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy:
- 21 and over
- Local resident
- Dogs live inside the home
- Fenced yard
- No HOA or rental restrictions
- Home visit
- Referral: vet or personal
- Financially able to care for the dog
- Investment in training
- Dog introductions

There is a $200 adoption fee for our dogs.

We are foster home based and do not have a primary shelter location. We believe the dogs do best when living in a home environment as members of a family.

More about this rescue

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is an established, entirely volunteer run, 501c3 nonprofit. We focus on dogs with extreme medical, behavioral and special needs. We are devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and securing placement for pit bull and pit bull mixes into responsible, permanent and loving homes. We partner with national animal welfare organizations to assist dogs from dog fighting, hoarding and other crisis/emergency situations.

We strive to educate the public about the pit bull breed in order to relieve suffering and prevent cruelty.

We advocate responsible pit bull ownership and educate the public about breed specific legislation.

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is made up of a small group of volunteers based in Phoenix, Arizona, who are dedicated to improving the lives of pit bulls and re-establishing the breed as a beloved family pet.

We work directly with local Animal Care and Control shelters to rescue pit bulls from euthanasia with the goal of rehabilitation and permanent placement.
