My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Desiree is a gorgeous tabby with soft rosettes. She has had a rough go with life and was brought in after it was known that she was pregnant. She has had her kittens and they all have gone to a loving home. Desi is a great kitty, she gets along with the other kitties and dogs in her foster home. She is more of a loner and lets others know if she wants to be left alone. She loves to sleep next to her foster mom's head at bed time. Desiree is a sassy girl that has seizures. She is on medication for her seizures and the cost is less than $10 a month for her medication.

She loves her foster mom and is not shy. She likes when you pet her but isn't afraid to let you know when she has had enough.

She is super sweet and just loves to be pet.  She stresses out in a carrier and needs to be transported to vets or wherever she is going in a small wire dog crate.  Enclosed does not work for this girl.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue, but do also have a small shelter. You can contact us at diamondunderdogs@yahoo.com to setup an appointment to come out and check out some of our adoptables.

More about this rescue

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

Why we do it:
4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States.
That is 300,000 a month
Over 11,000 each day
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.
