My story

I am a super sweet, young little dude that is full of happiness and energy!  I am looking for a home to share my joy and desire to be active!  I am really good at playing fetch!  I enjoy car rides and I am ready for adventure.  I totally love people and I love other dogs!

Nothing can stop me!!!  I power through any challenge that may come my way! I can walk short distances on my own without the aide of wheelchair but I do use one so that I can be even more mobile and zip around at full speed.  I may require some extra care but you will discover that I am worth it. Contact Mayday today and let’s get this party started!

Abel is semi-paralyzed and requires the use of a cart for mobility and needs his bladder expressed regularly.

If you, or someone you know, are interested in adopting or fostering, please visit our site at www.maydaypitbullrescue.org or send us an email at info@maydaypitbullrescue.org

We are foster home based and do not have a primary shelter location. We believe the dogs do best when living in a home environment as members of a family. Please email us to schedule a meeting.

More about this rescue

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is an established, entirely volunteer run, 501c3 nonprofit. We focus on dogs with extreme medical, behavioral and special needs.  We are devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and securing placement for pit bull and pit bull mixes into responsible, permanent and loving homes. We partner with national animal welfare organizations to assist dogs from dog fighting, hoarding and other crisis/emergency situations.  We strive to educate the public about the pit bull breed in order to relieve suffering and prevent cruelty. We advocate responsible pit bull ownership and educate the public about breed specific legislation. Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is made up of a small group of volunteers based in Phoenix, Arizona, who are dedicated to improving the lives of pit bulls and re-establishing the breed as a beloved family pet. We work directly with local Animal Care and Control shelters to rescue pit bulls from euthanasia with the goal of rehabilitation and permanent placement.
