Welcome to Kelly-Boy.... a great medium sized golden-doodle.... Yep, one of those designer dogs has found himself looking for a new forever home. When Kelly-Boy's owner faced his own health issues, he trusted our Rescue to find a suitable, forever home for his sweet pup and we promised him that Kelly-Boy would only go to the best home!! Kelly-Boy is on the smaller size for this breed, and weighs about 27 lbs. He prefers doggy playmates his size or smaller as well. It is unknown how he reacts to cats, so a cat-free home would be best.
Kelly-Boy is an active dog that has gone through general obedience training, knows some commands and is housetrained. He loves kids & at almost 3 years old, he will make a great companion to a family with older children (8+ years) but could be too rambunctious for toddlers. Car rides, long walks and toys are fun but Kelly really dreams of a home with a big yard to run and play in when he is adopted. Condos or apartments are a no-go for this active guy. Although he can be vocal when meeting new people, he warmed up to his new foster mom in only a few minutes. He happily lays at her feet while she does her work from home. We ask that his new owners respect his need for a slow introduction and be patient as he gets to know you. Please also remember that 'Doodles' do require regular grooming to stay in tip-top shape.
