My story

Myla is 4 years old, spayed, current on vaccines, dog and human selective, she gets along better with females. Myla will warm up to males it just takes longer. Her previous male owner beat her profusely but she has come a long long way. She is approximately 45lbs, walks great on a leash, and would do better with older children.
She is being fostered in Hampton, Virginia. Adoption fee is $250. If interested please go to our website operationsaveashelterdog.org and apply.

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

More about this rescue

Our Mission

Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
