My story

Jetta is a sweet, spunky 8 year old senior girl who definitely doesn’t let her age slow her down one bit. She’s got a lot of sass inside that compact little body of hers and despite her age, still has a ton of energy and loves going on runs, long hikes, and is always ready for the next adventure. She is crate trained and house broken is about 45lbs. As long as she can be by your side, she’s happy doing whatever her humans are doing and always wants to be a part of everything. This sweet girl loves to be spoiled rotten and showered with affection constantly. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home so that all the attention is on her but she does great with humans of all ages. She has a strong prey drive so no small animals for this girl and a 6 ft fence is a must. Jetta is one of the most loving dogs you will ever meet and deserves a home of her own where she can be everything to someone. If you’re interested in Jetta please contact operationsaveashelterdog.org. Adoption fee $250.

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

More about this rescue

Our Mission

Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
