MADDIE is so much fun, affection and smiles all wrapped up in one perfect package! She is constantly cheerful with the entire back half of her body wagging instead of just her tail. She is friendly with everyone she meets, in fact we don’t believe she has ever met someone she didn’t like. She loves to snuggle, play, and go absolutely anywhere. MADDIE loves soaking up cuddles and attention from her foster dad or anyone else for that matter. She also thoroughly enjoys hanging out with other pups. MADDIE shares her foster home with an adult resident pup named Ellie. They are great buddies and can usually be found playing together, whether it be a wrestling match or good old fashioned game of tug of war. When they are not playing, they are usually enjoying a nap or sunbathing in the backyard.
On top of her sweet, affectionate demeanor MADDIE is also smart as a whip. She is excellent at self entertaining when her foster sister is napping. One of her favorite things to do is to grab each one of her toys out of her toy box and then play with them all individually. She has also taken a liking to the kiddie pool her foster dad got her and will hit the water with her paw to make bubbles, then try to eat them. It’s precious! MADDIE would love to accompany her new forever family on all of their outings. She would make a great hiking or running partner (if that is your thing) and does fabulously in the car. MADDIE's joy for life keeps a smile on everyone's face. She is Miss Personality Plus! MADDIE is sure to bring a lifetime of happiness and joy to her lucky forever family!
MADDIE does not currently live with any kitties. We were told by the shelter we rescued her from that she didn't mind cats, but she hasn't spent time with kitties since she has been a part of Woof River. If the perfect applicant who is 100% certain they want to add Maddie to their family has feline family members, we are happy to introduce her to kitties and send videos before finalizing the adoption. We will not cat test her for inquiries.

MADDIE is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
Her $490 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the Midwest after she is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
