My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Each one of these adorable litter mates is sweeter than the next! How can the entire litter be so full of love and sunshine?!

Possum is pure sugar. He follows foster mom around, plays and romps with his brothers and the other cats/small dog in the house.  He, and his brothers, need lots of enrichment and interaction. They are very very people friendly as they were rescued from the city streets when they were just 5 weeks old. When they came in they were sickly and needed lots of hands on care - this got them quickly used to being handled, cuddled and loved. Possum has a significant cloud over both eyes but his vision is good and he easily navigates his surroundings. He has been to a specialist to confirm his eyes are in good health.

Marten, Skunk, Possum and Otter are all males, brothers, playful and loving to each other and anyone they come in contact with. A very special litter of kittens.

Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat (older than 9 months). All our rescues are up to date on shots, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLV/Heartworm. They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas. Each is spayed or neutered and given a rabies vaccination. An application must be completed to be considered to adopt from Stray HELP. You can download it from  HERE,   OR directly   ONLINE.

If your application is approved we conduct a home visit for final approval of adoption. To view more pictures of cats and kittens in our program visit our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StrayHELPNY/.

We raise our rescues in foster homes and are familiar with their individual personality. They are accustomed to people, phones, radios and tv; all the noises of home life. We work with perspective parents to find their perfect match.

We are the adoption partner of #PoughkeepsiePetSmart and you can visit some of our available cats and kittens there during business hours.
