My name is Liberty 2!

Liberty 2 came to the Refuge from the Edgecombe County Animal Shelter in 2020. She had been brought there by a concerned neighbor with her 3 kittens, Firecracker Justice & Rebel. She was sweet but a little shy but has become more overwhelmed and skittish with all the business at the refuge.

It would be awesome if she could be adopted into a quiet and patient environment where she can feel safe and loved at her own pace.

Interested in adopting a Goathouse cat or kitten? Then please start by completing the following steps required in our screening process: 1) Complete our online adoption application: Visit www.goathouserefuge.org/adoption-application/ to get started! 2) Arrange to visit the cat(s) in person: Please check our website for current visiting hours at our Pittsboro refuge. 3) Complete a virtual home visit: Once you confirm that you've visited in person with the cat(s) of interest and completed the online application, your responses will be reviewed by the refuge staff so that a volunteer member of our home visit team can contact you to schedule a virtual visit. Only after a representative of the refuge has visited the applicant's home will the refuge consider continuing with the adoption process.
