My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosie was adopted and then returned to us at no fault of her own, her adapter had severe allergies. Rosie is very shy and timid, and is not fond of men. She needs to be home and in a quiet and laid-back household with a single female, so she is comfortable and happy. This lovely girl is independent and does like to hang out on her own at times, but will come to you when she wants affection and attention. She will let you know when she's had enough and is happy just to be around you. No other pets or children please.

More about this rescue

We have created a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to eliminating cruelty, abuse and the overpopulation of animals. The Humane Society is committed to creating the awareness of animal rights throughout the Romeoville community by providing numerous animal welfare programs, including pet adoptions, humane education and cruelty investigations. ALL animals available for adoption are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested, fiv/felv tested (cats only), heartworm tested (dogs only) and microchipped. It is the policy of the Romeoville Humane Society to spay or neuter all animals in its care in an effort to reduce the homeless pet population.
