My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thanks for checking in! Due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic, our offices are operating differently than normal. Please read below for more information:

Adoptions:
We are resuming normal walk-in hours Mondays through Thursdays 12-5. Fridays 12-5 and Saturdays 12-4 will continue to be by *appointment only*. Please bring a mask with you for inside the building. To browse through our kennel area you are not required to have an application. To visit with an animal outside of their kennel, you *must have an approved application*. If you are interested in adopting a shelter pet, please go to www.dmcasf.org to fill out an adoption application or fill one out in-person during walk-in hours. Adoptable pets can be viewed online at www.petharbor.com. Should all go well during the visit, you will be able to complete the adoption and leave the shelter with the animal that day. Please come prepared with a leash/collar, cat carrier, etc. The shelter provides a sample bag of Hill`s pet food thanks to their shelter program.

Missing Pet:
If your family is missing a pet, please visit www.petharbor.com to view the impounded animal`s descriptions and photos to confirm if your pet is at the shelter. If you see your pet, please call us at 217-425-4508, you may need to leave a voice mail due to limited staff. You may also come in during the walk-in hours above to look through our stray area.
