My foster home is helping me with a behavioral, emotional, or medical situation, so I would only be available at this time to a family willing and able to take on and commit to a special needs IG.
My optimal adoptive home Low Energy/Activity, Has Adults Only in it, Has a Canine Companion, Has an Italian Greyhound Companion, Has someone that is home mostly during the day and Has time and patience to dedicate to continuing my social rehabilitation.
I do not walk on a leash and am a huge flight risk. If he accidentally got away he might never be recaptured. I do snuggle under the covers with my foster mama. I am a sweet boy, but am very leary of people and it takes me a while to adjust to new situations.
I prefer to sleep My kennel, My human's bed and a dog bed.
I consider the crate my safe space and don't mind being in there at all for reasonable amounts of time. If the door is left open, I will put myself inside to rest.
I know how to use designated potty pads indoors.
I am a very reclusive skittish type boy, but once I get comfortable with my owner over 3-6 months I lighten up and bond with my owner. I am a very curious boy and will learn more from my pack than from humans most likely. I need an owner that has experience with puppy mill survivors. I do better with females and am seemingly more scared of men.
