My story

Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you for wanting to adopt!

Hey there, you! My name is Archer (very appropriate, more on that later). I'm probably the handsomest chihuahua/terrier mix you'll ever meet. I'm 7 months old, and a whole 8 lbs. I was a stray walking the Tex-Mex border when I was rescued.

I have several hobbies. One of my favorites is zoomies. I just love being outside. So please have a fenced yard. I love people, kids, and dogs. Cats....meh, not so much. I'm not fond of the one my foster has. (It's lazy!) I even do my best to protect my family from the cat.

An Archer is a hunter, that's why my name is appropriate. I've caught a lizard outside, and a mouse in the garage. (But did they appreciate my efforts?) I love hunting! It's the terrier in me. But I'm also man enough to admit I love cuddles!

So, if you're looking for a cuddly superhero, here I am!! I hope we meet again soon!
