My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jackson is a happy, playful puppy. He's got an adorable nub tail and he's shiny as a new penny. He looks like a black lab mixed with a few other handsome breeds we can't quite place yet. He's got a very muscular body and long, gawky legs, and he's growing like a weed. When he was brought to Animal Control on Feb. 8 (by a girl who was very sorry that she couldn't keep him in her apartment) he weighed 15 pounds and when he went to the vet on Feb.19 he weighed 31 pounds. Even taking into account puppy wiggling on the scale, that's a nice growth spurt! We can't say for sure how big he'll grow, but he already has a big dog bark! Jackson is having a fabulous time in his foster home. He's got another dog to play with and they both can't get enough of each other. They chase and wrestle and 'pretend fight' all day long, with occasional breaks for bone chewing, toy squeaking and napping. Although Jackson loves his own species, he's is also very much a people dog. He adores attention and follows his foster mom all over the house, just for the pleasure of being with her. He is very bright for such a young boy, and already obeys 'sit' and 'come' and is housebroken. Jackson seems fine with cats too. One day he discovered a neighbor cat in the backyard and they sniffed and made friends before his foster mom could even run out to supervise the introduction. Jackson is cute in his pictures, but he's even more adorable in person. He's a must-see kind of boy!
