My story

Jake was a feral kitten when trapped and was very scared of his new situation and the foster parent that were trying to help him. But with patience and love, he has come around and now loves to be petted, especially on his belly, if you approach him with your hand out and say his name. He is still scared of loud noises and sudden movements; however he gets along great with other cats and loves to “mother” the foster kittens we take in. Jake needs a home with someone who will be very patient with him and let him come out of his shell at his own pace.  The way to this beautiful guy’s heart is patience, a good belly scratch and treats. Do you have room in your heart to give this sweet boy a wonderful home?

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
