My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Isabell (pawparent@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.

This handsome boy is Shorty. He is an English Staffordshire mix and approximately 9 years old. Shorty was rescued by another rescue organization on the streets of Woodland Hills. They were never able to find his owner. They had to shut down, so Paw Parent stepped in and took Shorty. Shorty has been looking for a home for quite some time as he was found at only about 2 years old. This sweet guy deserves a great home.

He loves all people, but should be placed in a home with older children due to his strength. He has met a couple dogs he liked, but can be very selective. He loves to go on walks and absolutely loves to carry his ball around in his mouth. Shorty is a silly guy, and loves to play.

Shorty is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all routine vaccinations. If you would like more information or would like to meet Shorty please contact Paw parent 661-724-0642 pawparent@gmail.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you have found a pet of your liking on our site and contacted us we will make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
We require a potential adopter to fill out an application.
If the application is satisfactory we will contact you to set up a time to meet. We also do home checks to make sure that the house or apartment the pet will go to is safe. The pet will be brought to your home at the time of the home check and if everything looks good and goes well the pet will be left with you. We are asking for an adoption fee and we also will have you sign a contract.
We allow a two week trial period during which the money will be refunded if it turnes out to not be a match. After the two week period the adoption fee is not refundable.

More about this rescue

Our goal is to fight for the plight of all companion animals so that none of them will ever
have to experience the horrors of being imprisoned in a pound system, where most of them are executed for the “crime” of being unwanted and homeless.
Animals entering our sanctuary will be given exceptional loving care and all the necessary medical attention whether short term, until adopted or for their lifetimes.
The survival of the sanctuary depends entirely on the support and donations from supporters, members and volunteers.
Through your generous giving we will be able to save countless lives in the future.
