My story

Hi, my name is Beauty and I am about 9 1/2 years old, a bigger gal (shhh... about 34 pounds).  I am a casual and low-key girl, looking for a home to spend my days relaxing and chilling with my people.  Wherever I live, I might need to be the only dog, or be with very laid back others, and I will do just fine!  I am very submissive with my people, and I live to please!  I do well in a large crate if I need to be home alone.  I had surgery to repair one of my hind legs and because of arthritis in that leg, I am not the kind to go for “long walks on the ‘beach’” (er, I guess since this is Texas, it would be the sidewalk!), and I don’t care for stairs or hard floors that might be slippery, but I make up for my special requests in my cuteness and great companionship!  I can't jump up on furniture or get off of the couch if you have helped me up to lay with you.  I do well in the car if you ever wanna take me places, though!  I am on daily eye drops and also take CBD oil for my arthritis. I have recently become blind.  I also have a habit now of walking on three legs as my one leg with arthritis hurts me from time to time. My medications run about $80 to $100 per month.  I would love to find a home where my person or people are home a lot or can take me places with them.  My adoption fee is $75. NEEDS TO BE AN ONLY DOG AND NO YOUNG CHILDREN, NEEDS BACKYARD.

If you are interested in any of our Boston Terriers or would like to be eligible to adopt a Boston Terrier through our rescue in the future, please fill out an application. It can be found at Click on the Rescue tab and then on the Adopt Now! tab. Here you will find our adoption requirements along with a link for an online adoption application. This will allow you to get on our list of approved homes so you can immediately adopt a Boston Terrier when it becomes available through Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas.

We are always looking for good foster homes. These homes allow us to rescue more Boston Terriers in need because we have a place for them to go until they are adopted. Please consider becoming a foster home for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas. You can fill out a foster application at Click on the Rescue tab and then on the Foster Program tab. Here you will find our requirements for becoming a foster parent along with a link for an online foster application. This will allow you to possibly become a foster home for one of our little Boston Terriers in need. Thank you for considering the possibility of fostering for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Upon approval of your adoption application, an Adoption Coordinator will contact you via email or telephone to match you/your family with one of our available Boston Terriers. Once a dog has been identified as a good match for the home, the foster home will contact you to schedule a time to meet the dog as well as conduct the home visit. If you pass the home visit and the meet and greet goes well (the dog is a good match for your home/family and any existing pets in the home) a 72-hour trial period will begin at that time. The foster will collect the signed adoption contract as well as the adoption fee prior to leaving. Once the 72-hour trial period has expired, the adoption will be finalized.

More about this rescue

The Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas began in the late 1980's when it became evident that there was a need to help Bostons in need. Thus, the humble beginnings of the Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas. Calls poured in weekly from pounds and individuals about Bostons of all sizes, ages, shapes and colors needing homes. Rescue of today is one that is dedicated to educating the general public about making good choices when selecting a breed and, secondly, the right Boston for their situation. Over 1,000 Boston Terriers have been successfully adopted to loving homes since we began. It is through hard work and dedication to this very active and amusing breed that this organization can contribute its successes. "Thank you" to all of you who believe in recycling love.

We help dogs with serious medical problems because we believe, whenever possible, that every dog should have a chance for a happy, healthy life. Unfortunately, our veterinary expenses often far exceed the amount of the adoption donation, and we must rely on dog lovers like you to provide financial assistance.
