Hi, my name is Teddy and I am a 7 year-old, 65 pound Border Collie mix. One thing you need to know about is I really love my human parents. I’ve been told If there was an award for lovable, I would win. If it was a competition between other animals, toys and humans, I would rather be around people. I am potty-trained and I will go in my crate, but don’t really like it that much. I really enjoy chewing bones, but not furniture.

Bio
I am a super laid back dog that just wants to be loved. I care more about people than other dogs. I would rather hang out with you than with any other animal. One thing I absolutely love to do is to go on walks. Whenever I see that chain I can barely hold my enthusiasm. Walks are one of my favorite things to do and I am really working on my leash skills. I do sometimes pull when I see another dog or person, and I really want to chase bike riders, but I’m really working on controlling that. I also really like visiting any trees or bushes I see. I’ve been told I’m very strong but I don’t know my own strength but am working on controlling myself. I do have 2 smaller sibling dogs and I’m doing real well with them. I don’t bother with them and they don’t bother with me so we all get along, but lately I'm even playing with them a little.

Sitting and laying down are tricks I’m great at. I’m also working on touch, look at me, and place, but I’m having a hard time with place. I am trainable, but my biggest trick is loving people. I absolutely love to be around my foster family all the time. I sleep either with my foster parents or my foster human siblings. I am fine sleeping on my own, but would rather be with someone. I don’t need to sleep on the bed, I’m fine on the floor or on a dog bed on the floor. I would be OK with having a brother or sister, but would rather be the only child. I like my teenage foster human siblings (sister is 16 and brother is 19), but don’t know if I would like younger children.

I really don’t like loud noises, especially thunderstorms and fireworks. They are scary to me and I get anxious when they happen.

I can’t wait to find my forever home. Thank you for reading my story.
