This spicy little delicious meatball came into the city shelter as a stray. At first, she was so shy and reserved but warned up to me and was then super sweet. She waited over three weeks for a home and no one blinked an eye at her :( so we decided to pull her for rescue.
Maizey went to the vet where she was spayed and showed evidence of previous litters, likely including one shortly before she entered the shelter. Maizey came to the FURcility on September 21st and after allowed her to decompress and show us her kooky, funny and diva personality - she is now ready to find a forever home!

🍁 Maizey is all cat. She's curious, inquisitive, loves to explore and is scared of nothing in her home environment. She loves to hang out with you and be a part of whatever you are doing. She leaves no area unchecked and has been known to be a funny quick little cat tornado while investigating.
🍁 We've dubbed Maizey Kate, Miss Independent. While she loves a soft pet and to hang out with you with the occasional lap moment, she truly likes to do mostly her own thing. She isn't going to require a TON of affection and will seek it out when she wants it.
🍁 Maizey Kate is active and loves to play with toys. Loves wands and roundabouts. She likes catnip and loves little fuzzy balls. Anything fun, she's in :) She will play alone or with you but she does need a lot of stimulation to stay happy and fulfilled. It is for that reason we will consider a safe and smart indoor outdoor home. She will want to go outside. She isn't going to be happy cooped up in a house 24/7 so we aren't going to make that her destiny. She is super smart and needs outdoor stimulation to help her maintain maximum happiness.
🍁 MK is a spitfire and has so much character packed into one little body. She sassy, but also sweet. Quirky, but also convential. Busy, but also content. I just love this cat! One of a kind feline.
🤸♀️ Maizey Kate would be best with older kids who won't pick up a cat (not her fav thing, remember she's independent). She won't hurt a fly but she can be persnickety is she isn't getting enough stimulation.
🐈 Maizey Kate is not a fan of other cats and a no cat home would be best.
🐕 Maizey Kate is good with dogs after a little time to warm up.
▪️ MK is litter trained and uses a large covered box made by Nature's Miracle and clumping non scented, dust free litter.
