My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mabrey is an approximately 3 year old female who suffered early trauma due to time spent in a puppy mill.

She is a gentle soul and can be quite the shadow, choosing to watch rather than participate in family activities.

She loves playing outside and hanging with her foster brother and sister dogs.

Her fears disappear when running the yard, chasing squirrels, or running the fence line with the neighbor dogs.

She will need a securely fenced yard and another small dog in the home chosen as her forever home. There are no exceptions to this.

She walks quite well on a leash.

She is hesitant with people but attaches to other dogs quickly. She shows potential to attach to people but will require patience.

She is not dominate, destructive or aggressive but may bark and whine when unsure of her surroundings.

She is currently living with four other dogs. It is unknown how she reacts to cats as there are no cats at the foster home.

We are looking for a home without cats.

Some of her favorite things are sitting on the couch monitoring the activity around her and being outside.

She has just started carrying a toy around.

She is crate trained and house trained in her foster home.

She is fully vetted including having had a recent dental.

Mabrey is very routine oriented and needs adjustment time when a change occurs.

It will take her some time to adjust to your home and schedule.

Once she warms up, she can be sweet and playful.

She will need a patient owner who will be willing to work with her and help her build confidence. This may take some time.

Mabrey MUST have another dog and a securely fenced yard. (There are no exceptions.) When frightened she runs.

Is your heart big enough for this precious little puppy mill girl? She will need all of the love and patience you can give.

Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old.

She needs another dog in the home and someone home most of the time.

Mabrey is located in MI
