Hello my name is "Moze”

I am a survivor of animal abuse but you must know I dont let that define. I am much more than what has happened to me. I am timid, but sweet, gentle but strong and although I’m learning to trust people again, I love my rescuers more than anything!

Moze found his way to WTWTA Rescue after we received an emergency call about a pup that was found by a family, given away to a friend and then disappeared after he gave him away…the rest is of what happened is what we in the rescue business would define as an unnecessary tragedy when folks try to rehome a pitbull but dont work with a rescue to ensure they only go to safe hands and are safely followed up on.

Despite finding Moze in a horrifying physical state, bite wounds and wounds from being either chemically burned or beaten with hot items he was standing calmly next to a toddler in diapers of the family that picked him up. He had maggots and gnats eating at his wounds, and his whole body was infected and inflamed giving him an upper respiratory infection to the point he could barely breath. Scared of people, we proceeded to gently approach and show him some love and comfort he hadn’t seen for quite some time.

Moze was taken in and treated medically to help his body heal and recover. The rest has been the emotional healing we have been working diligently to provide him to make him feel safe again. He has shown zero signs of aggression towards people or other animals. His soulful eyes tell you all you need to know about his spirit. He is a gentle boy, and when he trusts you he will give you the most tender kisses. We live for those moments when we see him, knowing how brave he is being to let humans touch him again.

He is not rowdy or rambunctious, he’s very calm and serene. Still working on his leash training and basic commands, sometimes he will pull away on the leash and want to go back into his kennel. But with some confident and kind coaxing he will acquiesce and continue to follow you. He loves his treats and takes them gently from you and he does great with both men and woman, but you can tell her favors women a little bit more for obvious reasons.

We adore Moze here at WTWTA Rescue and know you will instantly fall in love with him upon hearing his brave story and seeing how amazing he is despite all of what’s happened. Our Moze is one special and incredible pup and this special gem deserves the best home in the world!

We do know how he does with cats and so for now we will say his new home will have to be cat free.

If you are interested in meeting or having him apart of your family Moze, please make a note in your adoption application when you fill it out…
