My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tommy is on "FOSTER to ADOPT"

Tommy's immediate need is a new foster family! His current foster mom has to travel to help fight fires and may be gone for a long time so this friendly cat needs a new foster or permanent home. When fostering Tommy we pay for all of his medication and vet needs (see his description), plus his Fancy Feast wet food. Please reach out of you are interested in fostering this sweet cat!

Tommy is a 10-11 year old “special needs kitty” who has hyperthyroidism. He needs medication twice a day to keep his condition under control. It’s real easy to give because it can be squirted on to his food.

His foster mom tells us:
• He will come get you and sit in front of his food dish when he’s hungry.
• He loves to sit on your lap while you’re working or watching TV.
• He likes to sleep next to you with his butt facing you.
• He just wants to be near someone and is very affectionate.
• He rides in cars well so he may be a good travel companion!
• He is lovey-dovey and loves dancing on soft fluffy things and singing with his squeaky meow.
• Tommy likes other cats, but not dogs. Tommy would make a loyal and loving friend.
• Oh, and he loves kisses on his forehead...

Tommy showed up at the shelter several years ago as a stray. He found a loving home until a few months ago when his owner could no longer care for him after he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. This special-needs kitty is a 10-11 year old cat who is very sweet. He needs medication twice a day to keep his condition under control. It’s real easy to give because it can be squirted on to his food. Because of his condition, he has a very healthy appetite, but eats mostly soft food because he’s had some of his teeth removed.

We’re hoping to find Tommy a home where he’ll be able to live out the rest of his days being someone’s loving companion.
