My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good day friends and welcome!

Sir Tuck at your service!

I was once a young knight hailed by the queen as the best in my class when suddenly I obtained an injury to my leg. The royalty no longer found me useful and exiled me from my homeland.

I was discovered in park by a lovely long-haired maiden. Ah, the way her eyes glistened in the sunlight...I digress. She was extremely worried that I would scamper out into the lane and be trampled by one of those automatic wagons.

She gathered me up and brought me to the magical land of Lucie. This place is full of other knights and maidens awaiting family suitors to offer a dowry to take them to their homes.

Upon arrival, the lords and ladies took me to the "leech" or as you call it "doctor". There it was discovered that I had a lot of muscle atrophy in my leg due to an old injury as a result of one of the many wars I fought in.

I have limited mobility in that leg now, but don't let that fool you by any means. I am still able to run and play and defend the territory!

And do you know what else?? This cloud has a silver lining. The lovely long-haired maiden that rescued me is now an invaluable volunteer maiden here at the magical land of Lucie!

It would please me greatly if you would come to this land and meet me and the others here. We are waiting just for YOU!!

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters contact our adoption volunteer either via email or phone. Our volunteer in turn talks to them more about the pet they are interested in. If the adopter seems like a good match, they are requested to complete an application. They come to the rescue location to meet the dog of interest. We also sometimes arrange a home visit to make sure the environment is suitable for the dog. If all is well, they will get a call from a volunteer letting them know they are approved for adoption. They will be provided copies of the vaccination and sterilization records. A delivery day will be arranged for the dog. Either the adopter may come and pick up the dog, or a volunteer can arrange to have the dog delivered. They sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We do periodically contact our adopters to check up on the dog to make sure everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying their new life!

More about this rescue

Local Unity for Canines In Emergency Situations. We are a dog rescue organization, not a shelter or a pound!

We are a group of neighbors who, as a community effort, are helping the many strays and dumped dogs in the area. We take them in, care for them, feed - vaccinate - worm - socialize, and try to find them forever homes. We do depend on donations to help out, and will accept food, medication, bedding, fostering, and direct donations to Veterinarians.
