Treats and baby talk are the way to this girl's heart. Nora can be a bit shy and fearful with new people she doesn't know, but, with a little time and patience, she will give her trust. And, once she trusts the new person, she loves them. She loves her toys and you can almost always find her carrying around one of her precious Nylabones! She can be frequently found in a warm, sunny patch outside with a few of her favorite toys near by and a happy smile on her face.
Nora is a total love bug who shows her affection by always checking in with her people, just to make sure they're still nearby while she's enjoying her walk or simply hanging out. She would love a home where she can have the space to relax, but where her people are never too far away. She also loves other dogs, and in her current foster home she loves the other small dogs. Nora would do best in a home with other pets, no city living for this little girl, fenced in yard is a major plus, and no small children per rescue's rules at this time. Love, support, and guidance is what she needs.
Nora came from a shelter in Georgia and has been in Westchester County, NY for the last few months. We’d prefer to find her a home in Westchester County.

Adoption is not on a first come first serve basis but instead those who can meet the dog’s emotional and behavioral needs best. Applicants must be over 25 years of age.
If there are animals in the applicants home, they MUST have seen a veterinarian within the past year for an annual examination, and be up-to-date on vaccines, flea, tick and heart worm prevention. Absolutely, no exceptions. Pets must be up to date. A longstanding rapport with a vet is preferred and also if you have another friendly dog in the home is a big plus.
Please apply ONLY if you fit all of the requirements. Petfinder inquires are not an adoption application. We do not ship or transport our dogs.
ABOUT OUR RESCUE:
We are a small rescue run by Amber, a few volunteers and the assistance of Goldens Bridge Veterinary Care Center. If you are interested in adopting through our rescue, you first will need to complete an adoption application & be approved as a potential adopter before meeting any of our pups. No need to be intimidated by our application as it allows us to get to know you & your lifestyle. Please also note, while a fenced yard is fantastic, it is not required by our rescue, however, it may be required for a certain dog. Once adoption applicants are approved to become potential adopters, we offer private appointments (indoor/outdoor) where you can meet the dogs at the discretion of the rescue.Applications will be responded to within 4-7 days of submission. Absolutely no other people besides immediate family are included in the meet and greet. So no friends or neighbors. Please ensure your references are aware that they must CALL the phone number provided on the adoption application as it will make the process go a lot quicker and smoother.
BREED IDENTIFICATION:
Please understand that many rescue dogs are mixes of multiple breeds. Petfinder allows us to choose up to two breeds per dog. While the shelters and our rescue do our best in accurately identifying breeds, breed identification is not guaranteed. If there is a certain breed that you do not want, it is very important that you share this with our rescue when applying.
