My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

For additional photos, videos and more detailed information, please visit our website at www.myaarf.org.

Chloe was an owner surrender to a rural Louisiana kill shelter and we are still trying to figure out why! Chloe's foster mom just absolutely adores her and had the following to say about her:

Chloe is a sweetheart of a dog. She is active and loves life! She wants to please her person and loves attention. She will come up to me looking for reassurance that she is being good. She has a bad habit of jumping up and putting her paws on me and resting her head against me....almost like she's giving me a hug. I just don’t have the heart to correct her because it's just the sweetest thing.

Cats intimidate her and she avoids them, but she will chase squirrels out in the yard so may have a prey drive for smaller animals. She kennels on command and is fully house trained and crate trained. She enjoys sharing her kennel with her foster sister Heidi. They decided to go in the same kennel together several weeks ago and I just allowed it. If Chloe sounds like she might be a great addition to your home, please read the paragraph below if you'd like to be considered for a meet & greet and potential adoption.

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file.  Please fill in our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow at least 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Chloe's Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. *Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.*
