My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Avery is an adorable hound/terrier mix. She was born 7/30/2020 and is active, silly and friendly. She has a sweet disposition with feisty moments and LOVES snuggles. She enjoys exploring on leash walks, though she's still learning her 'leash manners' and covers a lot of ground. She would enjoy being able to romp freely in a yard.

The adoption fee for Avery is $200. She has been spayed and microchipped; she's received her rabies vaccine and all four doses to complete her distemper vaccine series. She's been dewormed and started on flea and heartworm prevention.

We started house training with Avery as she recovered from her spay surgery. With any pup, you can expect that you'll need to do some work to reinforce what she's learned and get her used to your routine.

She has not been around small children and our rescue generally doesn't place puppies in homes with children under age 5.

If you want more information about Avery, call or text Jody at 352-316-5155 or email her at SCRWestLevy@gmail.com. Thanks for your interest in adopting - and for your patience as we are an all-volunteer rescue! (We do keep our posts current! Sometimes we have to repost a pup when an adoption falls through. Thanks for understanding.)

Note: As of 12/10/2020, Avery weighed 20 pounds. Her mom, Tae, is the taller dog on the right in the fourth photo - and Tae weighs 28 pounds. We are VERY hesitant to make any predictions about how big Avery is going to be because we just don't know - but we are happy to share the information that we have.
