My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Sydney.. I was rescued from Levy County Animal Services just in the nick of time.. I was scheduled to be euthanized the day my foster mom came and saved me.. I'm a very sweet and loving girl.. please call Jody @ (352)316-5155 to find out the rest of my story.. I'm in the Alachua County area.. My adoption fee includes my spay, microchip, I'm up to date with vaccines, deworming, and I'm on flea/heartworm prevention... Thanks, Sidney

Their adoption process

We usually begin with a phone call and introductions to answer questions and ensure that the pet is a good match for your family.

Submit Application

We have an easy on-line application.

Meet the Pet

We do not have a public facility. After your application is approved you would be invited to visit the pet at one of our foster homes.

Sign Adoption Contract

A home visit is usually done to deliver the pet and complete the adoption contract.

More about this rescue

Second Chance Rescue is headquartered in Orange Lake, Florida. We cover a rural area in the Gainesville/Ocala region with a network of volunteers and foster homes. While many of our rescued dogs come from animal shelters, we also get a number of them through "shelter diversion" contacts - where we take in a dog or litter that is likely to end up there without our help. (We do not have a public facility in Orange Lake - but that zip code is fairly central to our network of foster homes.)
