My sister moved to Naples two years ago. She recently retired and lives alone. She had been wanting to adopt a dog and saw a notice in the neighborhood that two small dogs needed a new home as the owner had died. She visited with the dogs and the man's family and decided to adopt them. They have been well-cared for and sees a vet on a regular basis.
My sister has had some health issues this past year and is no longer able to care for two dogs. About 2 months ago, she was walking the dogs when they each pulled her in opposite directions. She fell and broke her leg. Even now, she is having difficulty caring for them both. She has an unsteady gait and cannot keep her balance.
Although she adopted them from the same family, the smaller dog, Dolly, is easier to care for. Dolly likes to cuddle and sleep with Pat while Daisy seems lonely in the living room. We both think Daisy would be happier in a new home.
