What is your name?
I’m Goulash, but they like to call me GOO!
How old are you?
I am right about a year old now (as of January, 2021).
What do you look like?
I’m about 45 pounds, have cropped ears, and I’m a blue-ish fawn color!
What do you like to eat?
Pretty much anything. I don’t really get a sensitive belly.
What kind of personality do you have?
I am pretty easy going! I love chewing on bones, playing inside, and being near my people! Cuddling is great, too.
Describe your perfect day
A nice walk in the am, followed by a nap on my bed and some treat training in the afternoon! Maybe a trip to the pet store?
What is your favorite toy?
BALLS! Durable rubber balls and water buffalo horns are the best!
Do you know any tricks?
Um… I can sit, look handsome, and stay for a few seconds for you to catch a picture!
What scares you?
I don’t like a lot of loud voices or physical roughhousing, but I’m not necessarily scared. I just tend to avoid those moments.
Do you like cats?
They are really interesting! My foster home has some and I have been learning all about leaving them alone and I’m doing really well! I just want to play, but mostly understand that they don’t want to play with me.
Do you have any doggie best friends?
No, I’m not allowed to have doggie best friends because I don’t like to share.
If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?
On. The. Couch.
How is your health?
I’m pretty good now! When I came to EC I had some colon issues and a UTI but I am long past them now! I have had surgery to repair these issues and I’m doing awesome! I was just neutered in January 2021, too.
How long have you lived in your foster home?
I’ve been with a member of Even Chance since around October 2020
Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion?
My foster mom for sure! The kitties are ok, though. 😉
Where do you hang out when you are home alone?
I always hang out in my crate when there aren’t any people home.
Where do you sleep?
I always sleep in my crate at night, but while my family is home, I will lay on my bed or snuggle on the couch.
What do you love about your foster family?
I love that my foster family is so dedicated to meeting all my needs. I am grateful that Even Chance rescued me!
What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into the welcoming arms of your foster parents?
I was surrendered to a shelter because my first home couldn’t meet my medical (colon) needs.
Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as they spend time in our homes. Our agency reserves the right to deny acceptance of any dog to an owner who we feel the lifestyle does not match that of the dog. We are in no way judging you or your lifestyle; we simply want to put our dogs in the best living situation possible. We take very seriously the decision we make when it comes to placing one of our dogs in a forever home.
